Yes! Our chauffeur tours are flexible, allowing you to mix history, nature, culture, and leisure in a single itinerary. For example, you could explore ancient castles in the morning, enjoy a scenic drive through the Wicklow Mountains, and finish with a visit to a local distillery or artisan workshop. This versatility ensures a rich day without feeling rushed.
In Ireland, politeness and small talk are part of the travel experience. Most guests engage in light conversation about local history, food, or folklore during their chauffeur ride. It’s customary to greet your chauffeur, thank them at stops, and let them know if you’d like quiet time. Tipping is appreciated but not obligatory; 10–15% is normal for exceptional service.
All chauffeur tours are private, meaning only your party is in the vehicle. Unlike larger group tours, you won’t share the experience with strangers, which allows for flexible stops, personalized commentary, and a more intimate journey. This approach gives you freedom to explore at your own pace, ask questions, and take photos.
We can arrange multilingual guides or interpretation aids for guests whose first language isn’t English. Depending on availability, guides may speak common languages such as Spanish, French, German, or Italian. Always request this at booking so your itinerary can be matched with a guide who can enrich the experience in your preferred language.
Definitely! Chauffeur tours are popular for birthdays, anniversaries, proposals, and even small weddings or renewals of vows. We will help personalize the experience with special touches, from scenic picnic stops to route themes, music playlists, and photography recommendations, making your celebration feel uniquely personal.

I hired Ian Darragh as my guide for the day. Not only is he incredibly engaging, funny and personable but astutely experienced in genealogy and Irish history – the good, bad and ugly. There was not a moment that I wasn’t fascinated with the tales.
BUT what took it over the top was his perseverance in the goal to help me locate some kind of trace of my ancestors. With a stop at the Louth County Library and a few friendly calls on some local elders we headed to Monasterboice to see the High Cross. What was wholy unexpected was to find my ancestors memorial just yards away in the same graveyard!
The day was beyond memorable and I cannot wait to book another adventure with Ian as I continue to research my Irish Ancestors and discover more about the amazing isle of Ireland.
